orange crush

My final assignment for my graphic design class was to design a T-shirt.  And it just so happens that I am running in the San Diego Rock 'N' Roll Marathon on June 6 as a part of a relay team.  There are four of us girls, so each of us will run approximately one fourth of the 26.2 miles.  They wanted me to design a T-shirt for us to wear, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone.  Here is the design for our Team Orange Crush.  Wish us luck!  Our motto is, "We may not be the fastest, but we will be the funnest".  We are going to crush the competition!

cd cover assignment

One of my last assignments in my graphic design class was to design a CD cover front, back and label for the actual CD.  This was my design.

rubber ducky, you're the one!

Last weekend my roommate, Alison, and I celebrated our birthdays by taking the Rubber Duck on a "three hour tour" through Newport Harbor.  The Rubber Duck is an open-air amphibious vehicle that can drive on the land and cruise in the sea.  The Rubber Duck picked us up at our house... we climbed on board with thirty of our favorite friends, plenty of adult beverages and some dance music.  We were greeted by our Captain, Gerald and Seaman, Carl and the adventure began.  We drove through our neighborhood and went to the boat launching area, where we "cannonballed" into the water.  From there we toured through the harbor, stopping at a local watering hole for a bit.  On the way home the duck became a floating dance floor where we "rocked the boat".  We had such a great time!!!!

shanghai highways

I found this photo on National Geographic's  Photo of the Day.  I love how you can see the light trails from the cars on the highways.  China is such a fascinating place!
